Laura Burrows is a Barrister-at-Law based in the Mackay region.

Laura was admitted to the Bar in September 2020 and has practised predominantly in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast before moving back to the Mackay region.

Laura’s practise areas include:
– Family Law; and
– Domestic Violence.

Prior to working in the legal industry, Laura worked in industries such as mining, training, local and state government, and small business. This wide array of work experience allows Laura to bring a unique and practical approach to each matter.

Since admission in September 2020, Laura has conducted the following:
– Family Law trials (property and parenting);
– Family Law interim hearings (property and parenting);
– Family Law conciliation conferences;
– Family law mediations;
– Domestic violence hearings;
– Guilty pleas in the Magistrates and District Court;
– Written advices in most of her practising areas; and
– Attended personal injuries compulsory conferences.

Laura approaches and carries out all briefs to a high standard and prides herself on efficient and succinct written submissions for all hearings.
